I have been told the VX has been propping up the Commodore sales and VY's arn't selling to well (Ford source who talks to Holden dealer across the road) and from another source (who got his info from a different Ford dealer), there is still around 10,000 VX's to be unloaded.
Last week I saw a BA XT for sale at Phoenix Holden (Perth) for $29,990.
I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that. Either someone didnt like the BA and traded it on a VY - or Holdens bought one deliberatley to sell off cheap as some sort of a resale-price cutting stunt.

Even if it was a trade it seems still to cheap, might be something wrong with it.

That is actually quite true. Speaking of resales, when a dealer advertises a new model with so much extras, imagine what is does to a similar car without the options.

They have to sell them some how. I haven't seen very many VYs on the road. The ones I have seen are mainly SS.
Seems to me there is more and more BAs of every model on the road day by day.
I think the VY Ute will be popular. All those Holden fans that bought the AU Ute due to supercab and 1 tonne limit might go back once the Holden is released.
