One of my lecturers must have shares in the public transport system.
Why,
cause of the last few weeks he has shown us videos, and supplimenting computer generations, or controlled car crashes he carried out.
Some were damn funny but, like little toyota echos flying in the air after hitting a embankment at 45 deg 85km/h, which crashed into a video camara too.. and lots of after marks of crashes/ truck rollovers.
Now some of them were really disturbing,
like a dude that side swiped an electricity pole and was killed, they found out he was going at about 28km/h, and the computer generation (actually shows what happens in crash accuratly) showed the driver's head hitting the pole, on the other side of the car.
another was a lady who's sit broke and she was thrown around and hit the back left side door, died.
or a dude without a seat belt hit under a house at about 45km/h and was killed, comp. gen was bad here
luckily all the car's weren't fords, but some of the after mark photos had some, and boy it makes me wanna drive like a grandma for the rest of my life.....
It's literally a matter of life and death. This is why I do drive like a grandma most of the time... there's a time and place when it's safe to go nuts and have fun.

that is y i hate going to wreaking yards. my old car ended up there after i crashed it and i was very lucky to get out and walk away.
i remember when i got my lic. my old man said to me that i car is a weapon and you if you don't respect it, it will bit back. i must say my driving has changed, for the better (IMO), since my accident 2 years ago now.
I worked at a towing business at the beginning of my apprenticeship in Warragul and was the unlucky one who had to wash the vehicles in fatalities before they went to the holding yards or out the back. It has changed my attitude to driving completely after seeing so many crashed cars come off the tow trucks. Some of the people were lucky, and how they survived has me stuffed. This al happened bfore I got my lisence which in a way is good. I have to admit I do drive a little fast now and again but like Epic said, some of the stuff is very disturbing. My car was totalled 6 weeks ago and my girlfriend was driving it. The window was wound up luckily because when she got T Boned by the four wheel drive her head hit the window and stopped it going out of the car, the window smashed and the engine ended up in the dash. She was very lucky as she walked away the same day from it. Nothing is more terrifying than going to an accident and seeing your own vehicle or a mates or family's car.

Jack, i feel the same way.
Most of my mates who have cars drive like bloody maniacs....and they call me grandma and stuff like that.
But, ill be the one who doesnt crash and ill keep my lisence.
Not that i want them to crash/lose their lisence, but, they need something to make them wake up to themselves and realise that driving stupid in town, where it is very easy to crash, is really idiotic.
Thanks
Dane.
