Ok there is a movie i saw when i was younger and it looked ok but i can only remember a few vague details.
Here it goes: From the scenes i can remember they were all prisoners in a huge building. This prison? was divided into 2 parts the male and female section. I think it was set in the future as another scene i can remember involves 2 guys trying to escape and the guards are actually robots with machine guns for arms. he manages to short circuit one of the soldiers and rips his gun for an arm off and then get out of the big drainpipe thing he was in.
And one more scene i remember there were 2 people fighting and one of the ended up at the end of a mechanical bridge thing that started retracting while he was on the other side of it
If you have any idea what you think this may be please let me know as i would like to watch it.
Note: Sorry if this sounds a bit unreal, im not stoned or pissed. Its just that i saw it a long time ago and i cannot remember very much of it.

I rememeber the movie, maybe not the divided prison bit, but the rest is ringing bells, one of the hero gang was a black guy, some cool meaty sounding cars in it, I thought they jumped the car over the bridge as it was retracting at the end of the movie or there abouts, as to the name, got me at this point.

The robots would shoot someone and they would be blown pretty much in half. I think the robots were called the megablaster.
BINGO !!!! loved the movie as a kid and there was a part II, in the futer you have to have a licence to have kids, and is done in a lab by the goverment to keep a tight hold on the population, and at a check point they find out she's pregnate (the old fasion way) and that is a crime so off to prision they go, at thye prision you had a "intestonator put in you and if you played up it would give you a electrical shock from the in side !!!! if you tried to escape it would explode leaving a nice big hole in your guts !

Fortress.... oh how I loved that movie have it here on vid even. Part II also. in Part II he is in Jail again but this time it's in space. Might have to watch them both again.
Fortress great film Christopher Lambert was great in The Highlander as well, loved it!

Not to be picky, but it was just "Highlander."
Christopher Lambert is actually pretty good in most of his films really, it just seems that a lot of them are bad and he is the only saving grace...
