Does anyone know of any info on the XC Falcon "Allan Moffat Special"

My dad had a Falcon XC "Allan Moffat Special" in the early eighties, and i would like to know of any info on this model. all i know is it had a 302 V8, and my dad's was white with a black bonnet (black in the centre between the air scoops). Any info would be much appreciated

Yeah, there was such an animal. From memory 302 Falcon 500 GS with tutone bonnet like XB GT. Have article somewhere in old magazine. Will look it up.

For further info - the colour scheme mirrored (roughly) that of the Moffat and Bond two doors used in Touring cars and famous for the Bathurst form finish.
Methinks from memory they were actually 351's but maybe that's just the early onset of Alzheimers.
Cheers

I hope you find it cause I would be really interested too. The XA/B/C series is my favourite. If you do find it could you put up some scans? Cheers.

I thought the planned Alan Moffet special became the (Alan Grice) oops no the John Goss Special because Moffet was out of the country when launch day came. 500 Hartop with 302 V8 and GS pack and special paint and decal job.

Thumbs up Re:Allan Moffat Special.

I actually owned one of these as it was my first car, and what I can tell you about it is in the original condition they had a sticker/decal on (I can't quite remember now) either the front doors just below the mirrors or in roughly the same location on the front guard. The sticker/decal was an Australian flag with Moffat's signiture. As far as I know they were a four door XC GS Falcon 302 4spd,4WD,12 slotters with trims and as stated in previous posts had the bonnet black out with the boonet scoops along with the black out paint around the wheel archs and sills.
The colour of my car was Pine'n'Lime and the only other colour that I have seen or know of was white but they may have done more. Also the speedo was different either 200 or 220kph? I am thinking it was probably 220 as I remember taking it to 200 at one stage! I also took it out to Calder and in stock trim ran 14.6@97mph.
Hope this helps.
