Yes, before anyone else says it, yes it still looks cheap, I know. I just want to get peoples opinion on if it looks better then it did. And yes, the rim on the spare is a different style to the spare, that's why that rim is on the spare, that way I can have 4 tyres all on the same rims on the car.
The first pic is one of the stockie rims as they all are, and the second is how the spare now looks (practiced on the spare incase it looked sh*t).
I think it looks better, at least now it's an even colour, even if that colour isn't the greatest.
It's only until I can afford to either get those rims properly reconditioned or replaced with better ones, I got sick of how crappy they were looking and thought I might be able to make them look a bit better...
What do you think?

i do that to s pack XE wheels with the chrome ring, paint the nuts and hubs black tyre black the tyres and thats all makes a bomb look a million percent better in a couple of hours. ME LIKE IT as good as a reco, just hope you sanded the paint a bit before you applied your new silver, otherwise it tends to flake. GOOD JOB

I used steel wool, the cheap kind that doesn't have any detergent or soap of any kind in it, just plain steel wool, and a fair bit of elbow grease. Should do the trick, I think, I hope.
Thanks for the feedback people, I might go and do all the othert rims like that, and I hadn't thought of using tyre black, that's a good idea, thanks!

They were pretty crummy caps IMO... easy to lose and not very attractive.
True, but without them it really detracts from the look of the wheels, I think. Looks pretty ugly with that black bit in the centre, either way a decent set of new wheels and rims would look much better, but that can wait until I've got more important things done.

if i had a centre cap on those wheels i'd paint it black too, but just the hubs will be good e nuff.
i would buy a sandpaper sponge for the other wheels as i used steel wool once on 15" EF rims and the silver flaked be warned
