My wife sometimes nags about the cost of doing this, the time it takes to wash / clean / polish the beast etc etc.

Just wondering if I was alone, if not , any stories (funny / sad), divorces, threats, support you guys receive as a result of owning your respective beasts...

I take comfort in our support network we have here, any advice or counselling would be appreciated.........

funnily enough I get both grief AND support from my Mrs... She has no real problems with spending the $$ on the XA but gets crappy at me when I spend too much time with it.......

Never had a problem with my Mrs at all, she's very very supportive. In fact she's had a few hot rides herself in her past.

I've got to admit I get narky with my other half for dollars and time spent, but that's only 'cause I'm jealous and want to spend money on mine ...... oh for a beautiful chrome encrusted engine .....

BUT, I do remind myself it's not forever and that my turn will come .... summer=straight cut timing gears, lots of chrome bits, new cam, new dif gearing, extra horsepower, etc etc yeah!

The only problem I've had is wearing a wet sponge etc when I tell her she's missed a bit or that you should put a bit more leather food on the seats etc. Of course I do have to get a crow bar to get her out of drivers seat of the XR8. I think I've created another petrol head:beerchuge

My wife has always supported my addiction, I dont drink (much) and I dont smoke and I dont chase fast women, so she lets me have my baby.
She does get a bit jealous of it, but she loves our XR8 as much as I do and we both have great fun driving it.
