As times have changed so do the ways we are handling the donations on this site. Due to upgrades in software we are now able to automate the donation process.
I know that some people prefer the current method of doing the donations, but that method was too time consuming and people were getting lost in the shuffle. Some people did not get their donations entered correctly and others were extended past without us finding this out until later. To alleviate more than 2 hands and two sets of eyes looking at this we have decided to come to the arrangement of using current available online services. This being Paypal.
PayPal (the world's largest payment provider owned by eBay) uses a secure 128 bit encrypted connection. Your account information (credit card number etc.) will never be shown to us, unlike the way we did this in the past. Your donation to us will be processed by Paypal directly and they will be the ones to debit your account by going directly to your bank for processing. PayPal currently processes over 2 million transactions per day so you can be assured the information you send will be kept secure.
With the new changes everyone that has donated and is currently an active donator will retain what they currently have for "perks" on here. If you had donated $1 you will still get donating status for the remaining portion of your 6 months. If you donated 75$ or more your term will be for the 1 year. Those that donated to get email and webspace will retain these until their time runs out. There are a few of you that have donated upwards of 200 and more the last time you donated. For those people I have applied the level that would be equal to the current. For example if you donated 250AUD at today’s exchange rate you would have donated 195USD I have rounded that up to 200. Thusly your access level would be for the Site Supporter 200 level which gives you at the five year level.
I am still in the process of changing people over to the correct groups and this will take a few more hours. I will try my best to make this as smooth a transition as possible. I have set up monthly, quarterly, half yearly, yearly and multiple years up to lifetime supporter levels with the ability to choose one off payments or auto renewing.
For those that decide to donate at the two year level and higher will get an @fordforums.com email address. Those that do a 5 year or greater will get this and 100mb of webspace. Lifetime members will get the email and webspace but the webspace will be 2gb in size and allow 1gb of bw a month. Remember those that are currently at the levels to get these perks on the old donation system will retain these until their time comes up for renewal.
If you wish to donate then you can follow the link on the sidebar that says "Donate To FF.com"
