Some have you may have noticed that an ad in the December issue of Street Machine features an ad with a mildly photoshopped picture of my car in it.
I would like to set the record strait that I have never heard of the company that the ad is for & my car to my knowledge features non of their products.So since I have no experience of there products & had no idea of the ad until I saw the Magazine I can not endorse the product or comment on them in any way good or bad.

I haven't spoken to them yet but I plan on having a chat. The photo is obviously one from Performance Ford who have the right to do whatever they want with the photos I guess but it was kind of a shock.

If you had the car spraypainted with an original design or mechanical modifications etc you could possibly sue them under intellectual property ie copyright law of a patent etc

I'd have a chat to some people about that because Performance Ford are allowed to give people their pictures but these people are endorsing their product from your car - which is not only false/misleading advertising but also raises some rights of ownership. Get the name of the company and right up the Consumer Commision and get their view point on it.

Like svo said, try and get a commission out of them. Don't just go and be a hard arse at first.
