Drive barra article

Todays age, includes a pic of the rear end with out the crap attached. Interesting read. No wonder they didn't want to see the real thing, as they have plenty of info with out seeing it.

Adjustable pedals also seem to be an item. Track and wheel base are also different. Just sitting down to read the whole article

yeah not a bad read...

Nothing really new, except for the height adjustable pedals. (good idea)!

The computer mockup looks pretty good actually, and its the first time we get to see what the rear might look like. Looks like they have used the front lights off the R7.

Fuel tank is now infront of rear axle, why would they bother doing this if there is no plan for export???

Didn't you now?

Cars explode if the fuel tank isn't in front of the axle - haven't you seen any American movies?

With the front weight bias of the Falcon - wouldn't the fuel tank further back in the car assist in balance over putting it in front of the axel??

"the fuel tank has been moved forward of the differential, which is said to offer packaging benefits. It also points towards potential exports, with the fuel tank position a safety issue for cars sold in the US."

Other details.

Looks like XRs will have a light treatment that cuts into the bumper, similar to what we have seen and hated. Lets hope they do a better job of robbing the integra.

Wheel base stretched 18mm, track up 15mm, bigger boot and the car is a couple of cm longer than AU.

New seats and Ford US sourced hydraulically operated pedals will be featured.

maintains the 5.4 V8 theme in three spec levels

full colour touch screen sat nav on upper variants. Parking sensors will be also available.

In short this is no mid life upgrade. The only thing left are the doors. Even the roof is different
