Does anyone know what the penalty is when driving a manual car when you only have your automatic liscence (when on p's) in Victoria?

Is this the latest driving restriction in Vic? Seperate manual/auto licensing endorsments? They're talking about P-plate curfews now her in SA.

Spoke to my brother who's a copper, he didn't know much about it, but compared to similar offences, his reactions would be:

1) If he was in a good mood, you were friendly, and weren't driving a hoon-mobile, probably a written warning at most.

2) You were caught at an RBT/ defect station, probably monetary fine.

3) You were being a dick head/ subsequent offence, probably further action possibly including revoking your permit pending court hearing.

Don't take this as gospel, this is just his views, compared to what he classes as similar minor infringements here.

Like he said, if you get caught, just be polite and bullshit your way out of it, ie you're visiting your mother in hospital.
