Re: Driving in other states

Yep, you can, you simply have to follow the same NSW laws for P platers over there too.

Re: Driving in other states

No you dont, the laws of your licence apply I am told, speed limit signs etc still apply, but if your licence allows you to drive a V8 on P's in W.A. are you saying when you get to NSW you have to go find a 6cyl to drive, as you would then be breaking the law.

Licence is Licence the rules of P's belong to the licence, not the state you drive in, speed limits however different story.

having said that, stick to 80k's as per P plate rules of NSW will save getting pulled over and then them going sorry sir please be on your way.

Yeh, when I got my P's you were meant to stick to your own state's rules.

Re: Driving in other states

I drove across to Perth via Melbourne & Adelaide when I was on my P's in an EF. It's a long haul but a good trip mostly.

Yeah you have to follow your own state rules. If in doubt then just contact your motor registry just to make sure.

You are getting Victorian rules mixed up with NSW. NSW has no power restrictions on P platers.. I beleive Vic is the only state that does
