I'm just looking at the red line on this sucker! Isn't it just a blown 5.4L with the same humungus stroke?...or is it another mixture of bore Vs stroke?

Way back when I owned a new GT HO Phase 2, it redlined at 6500 (I think, my age and all that) but would rev to 8000 in first gear without any probs. Its gearing was such that it did 10.1 MPH per 1000 rpm which meant 81 MPH in first :)

Windsor engined GT-HOs redlined at 5500 rpm. Cleveland engined ones at 6000 rpm.

However, the Clevo Phase II was good for almost 8000rpm (no rev limiter)
Still the most underated of the lot. Dont think even the PhaseIII with a 6150rpm limiter was safe from them on the 1/4.
Shame on Motor mag only ever testing an auto and never going back to recheck the figures.
Either way, go the GT40! Especially the creations from Robert Logan. Gimme gimme gimme
