I still think they are too much atm, the price will drop over the next couple of years to something more attractive. And as a blank dvd costs about $25, you might as well have just bought the movie itself.
Not now, I'd wait a while.
There are other solutions like digital VCR where the programs are stored on an internal hard disk. They seem more attractive to me, but it depends on your requirements.
I bought a Pioneer A05 DVD burner for work, $695 for full retail pack. Blank DVD-R's can be bought for $2.95 a piece.
