Hey all I finaly put some money down on a car today.
I looked at 5 cars (took the day off)
2 station wagons (one with heaps of k's and the other one was good but would need a bit of money spent)
3 sedans the first one had LPG, mags, alarm, kenwood tape deck
but the brakes were stuffed and the thing went like a log.
Another one was good but it was just a stocker and it was auto
than I found the one!
91 EA II sedan 190,000 kms rear spoiler/boot lid mags, camber kit, pedders shockers, alarm, 2.5" exhaust New brakes ,discs on the front, new discs on the back as well and new tyres.
in excellent condition but it's got tickford and Xr6 badges all round it's multipoint and sure goes a hell of a lot better than the other cars and handles real nice to and thats why I got it but I'm pretty sure they never had an EA XR6. The guy's had it for the last 7 years and got himself a 99 XR8 (I offered to by that but he turned me down with a grin)
It's a really nice car and everything on it is in good nick ran a compression test to and it pulled up quite nicely.

The guy wanted $3600 but I talked him down to $2900 Cause I'm such a shrewd bastard. He was only offered $900 from the dealer so he's still happy.

The EA series of Falcon did not have either an XR6 or XR8. Then, while the EB series did have an XR8, it didn't have an XR6, instead opting to have the 6cyl sports model labelled as the Falcon "S".
Noting the red striping around the exterior of your vehicle it's possible that it's an EA "S", so it's kinda like the "unofficial" XR6 model for the EA series.

Must say that is a nice purchase you got there, gotta be happy with the price as well.

I always liked the EA S MPI 139kw, and if it's a 5 speed they go pretty damn well as a i'm sure a few others around here would agree.

yeah it's a 5 speed and it goes, stops and handles really well!!
I pick it up on monday.
First mod will be fitting my gas system but i may get a new tank and pull the petrol tank for a straight gas system.
After that it will be quad lights and clear indicators, lowered a bit more and than .......TURBO! Luckily my cousins husband owns a 9sec 1/4 mile capri and is a Ford/Performance nut so he'll give me a hand with good priced bits and tech advice!

I have seen an XR6-badged EA before, though obviously it's a case of what we might call 'badge engineering'.

nice buy mate - youll enjoy the 5sp Mpfi EA, in their time they were one of the quicker sixes around, and quite easy to mod :bs1:
