Just saw on channel 10 news that the useless council of dandenong have voted against renewing the easternats license. What a disgrace. Apprently though as the organisers have NEVER breached their license a government tribunal (sp?) will almost certainly over turn that. They whine and complain about people dragging and doing burnouts in the streets, yet they are given an opportunity to do so but some old farts complain. ITS NOT DONE DURING NIGHT TIME so badluck. IMO GET RID OF THE LOCAL COUNCILS. Nothing but trouble makers and full of whining old bags.

They will use all the losers blocking off Dandenong Rd in the middle of the night doing burnouts as an excuse. Like it doesn't happen the rest of the year as well.

You have to remember that these people are flawless members of society, who know and love their close-knit community, and will always make decisions that benefit everyone. Without a batt of an eye, they hold confidence that their decisions are accepted, as their decisions are a reflection on their perfect selves.

There was something in the local paper (i live 5 mins from sandown)about the easternats, they (the council) said that the Easternats had failed 138 items or something along the lines like that, compared to the 2 things they failed when they first started.

The illigal 'dandy drags' have been happening for years before the easternats ever began and they can't even stop them. So why penalise those of us that do the right thing, attend these events and act in a responsible manner when leaving the track?

they are complaining about the noise/smoke polloution, but according to the epa, they have not exceeded the legal limit...
all the ppl in the new housing just behined sandown, wanted to live next to an international racing track, but dont want noise, some people are just plain stuipd!

The cops have busted those drags more times than I can remember. They will be back.
The only reason they are covering the frankston-dandy road is because an intersection was 'painted' black last year and made the cops look dumb.
Noise levels? If they are complaining about that then wait for the track to close forever because international raceways tend to make a bit of noise.
