EB Engine conversion....

Gday all, now a question in relation to a EB 6cyl engine swap.
Forced induction or N/A 8 isnt my dilema, what im qurious of is the potential of something like a lexus v8 or another jap turbo'd straight 6.
Has anyone done a jap engine swap on a EB? Or know anything about the possibilities.....as many of the clowns i have spoken to have no idea.
????
Cheers

Yes, there was a guy who had a Lexus V8 in an NA Fairlane who posted on the forums not long ago. I still have the pics somewhere.

Its and EAII

**A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing*** @ Have fitted a 4.1 litre V8 out of an Nissan Inifiniti (Q45). Has all the Japanese hi-tech stuff as stated earlier including the Nissan gearbox and ECU. @ The quoted power figure is 220KW and had it tested on a dyno where it clocked 175bhp at the wheels. The bloke related this to Holden's GenIII 255KW version a measuring 190-195KW at the wheels. @ This car did 15.4 at Willowbank drag strip. That night an BA Turbo XR6 did a 14.9. @ I am going to fit the EB GT body kit by the end of March but the price will be $12,000.
some pics on the site too

thanks for the info...
will do some reasearch on this engine and let you know how it goes but as far as the price of the front cut of a infinity Q45 ($from round 5g's) add in all extras keepin in mind the box and diff are both gli spec........when the $ come into it, it make me think how solid the 4L 6 is haha

later

I dunno hy you would bother if its a ford keep it ford powerd the i6 can produce heaps of power when properly done i have had a worked i6 in an ea ghia heavy car 5sp and 3.45:1 final drive and it imbaresed heaps of v8's.
i currently have an eb xr6 auto and considering a few options.
1. keep it auto and drop a windsor in.
2. doin a bit of minor engine work and turbo and 5spd
3. dunno if this is possible drop in a barra i6 turbo out of an xr6 with a 5spd
but have been quoted for motor with all accesories by ford something like 12k and use aftermarket managment.
