Gday all, now a question in relation to a EB 6cyl engine swap.
Forced induction or N/A 8 isnt my dilema, what im qurious of is the potential of something like a lexus v8 or another jap turbo'd straight 6.
Has anyone done a jap engine swap on a EB? Or know anything about the possibilities.....as many of the clowns i have spoken to have no idea.

Yes, there was a guy who had a Lexus V8 in an NA Fairlane who posted on the forums not long ago. I still have the pics somewhere.

thanks for the info...
will do some reasearch on this engine and let you know how it goes but as far as the price of the front cut of a infinity Q45 ($from round 5g's) add in all extras keepin in mind the box and diff are both gli spec........when the $ come into it, it make me think how solid the 4L 6 is haha

I dunno hy you would bother if its a ford keep it ford powerd the i6 can produce heaps of power when properly done i have had a worked i6 in an ea ghia heavy car 5sp and 3.45:1 final drive and it imbaresed heaps of v8's.
i currently have an eb xr6 auto and considering a few options.
1. keep it auto and drop a windsor in.
2. doin a bit of minor engine work and turbo and 5spd
3. dunno if this is possible drop in a barra i6 turbo out of an xr6 with a 5spd
but have been quoted for motor with all accesories by ford something like 12k and use aftermarket managment.
