OK while where all look forward to the Barra, i thought i'd take a retrospective look at the way the older model falcons will compare to the new bird. Ok ok so i'm taking a view at this angle as i've recently got an AU2 but none the less i think it's a valid topic to discuss.
I really think one thing ford have suceeded in doing, is making the models that have themes in it's shape. By meaning unlike a Camry or Magna where as soon as the newer one comes up the older is virtually obselete and looks out of date.
I think this is not so in the falcon, every time i look at an EL XR i still think the shape is very very nice and presents a different taste theme to the AU.
Comparing with the Barra pics, I think the AU will always remain a sharp looking car with it's edge design and the steeply raked A pillar, and will not look dated compared. Also if the Barra ends up having a uniform front end between the models then the AU will have another unique point.
Whats everyones view on this...

Excuse me not responding XR_Strider_Guy while I pose another question, same theme (no pun intended);
Do you consider the EA-ED & EF-EL to have the same "theme" or are they separate?
Similarly do you think AU-Barra will be seen as having the same "theme" or be seen as separate? (I know that one's a bit more difficult to answer as most of us haven't seen one unmasked yet).

Ok i view the EA-ED as having a different theme, I know there are people out there who like the squarer look of the EA-ED to the rounded shape of EF-EL.

True about not seeing the full monty of the Barra but i personally think i now have a very very close idea of what the Barra will look like, but yes the Barra in my perception will present a different theme.

EA-ED have the same theme as do EF-EL. AU and AV will continue this.
