A Pambula (NSW South Coast) based Coach/Body builder (think Limo's & Hearses) at one time were making E-series cab-chassis. Called Hammond Conversions I think. I don't know how many they made or if they still do them but Street Machine had a small article on a blue one (EL) and there was one that used to show up at SummerNats each year that was maroon with an XR front (ED, I think). Interestingly they used the sedan type rear suspension of solid axle, watts link and 4 trailing arms on a fabricated (or braced Ford items?) chassis rails with an alloy tray.
Apart from that there was the Hilliers conversion (below) that started as an EA wagon.

I think they changed around the same time as when they stuck the V8 back in the utes. They were full body utes, not cab/chassis.
Yeah, thats what i thought. Maybe they only came with EF fronts though.
A mate had an XG and from the look most of the front wasn't interchangable with a sedan. The bonnet and guards were unique as they had to go from the EF bumper to the XG shape doors and cab.
That was an XH PURSUTE, the XG looked like XF apart from an EB-style grill. The XH belnded the EF style nosecone to older style cab, the bonnet & guards are unique ute/pano parts.
