how quick were they? Does anyone have any times from older wheels/Motor? What was the power of them stock and the kerb weight? All XR6's came with LSD didn't they? I am asking this becasue I am looking at buying a 1996 model.

On a good day, a manual EL XR6 can get into the 14 sec range on the 1/4 mile.

on a day where time seems to stop momenterally i suppose they could dip into the 14s, but thats a big call smciner1
the falcon was tipped at 16.1, with 157kw, and 356Nm (dont quote me). My fairmont auto did a 15.9 on its first and only unmodified run, an xr6 might see a low 15 if you get a good reaction and 60' time...

It has been done with a stock EL XR6 manual. My brother raced his EL XR6 (stock at the time) at Calder Park and pulled a 14.9 second pass.

I was told all the E-series XR6s had about the same performance. The one im looking at is 13grand, 170clicks, 2.5" bandrel bent, K&N and 5 speed. If it gets 14's id be most happy. but I was expecting 15s anyway.

Motor have got 0-100km/h in 7.5 and 15.2 0-400m's so XR6's dipping into the 14's is definitly possible.

To give you some idea my EF XR6 (auto) has similar mods, filter, headers and exhaust and also a chip but only managed to pull a 15.7 consistantly over 3 runs!
If anyone has any ideas of the best way to improve RWKW it would be most appreciated as I seem to lose a lot from flywheel KW to RWKW, so my times seem to worse than the stock XR6's

I got 14.94 for the quarter mile with a G-tech in my EF2 XR6, so with smincer1's brother doing a 14.9 at calder it seems is is definitely possible for an EF or EL to do under 15 seconds. I think i heard somewhere that for the EL or EL2, they made the LSD an option.
