Lightbulb El Xr8's Without Pinstripes

I've recently noticed a few EL XR8's with full bodykits driving around with the pinstripe coloured the same as the duco. I'm just wondering if Ford brought these out like that or if the owner has respayed or painted in his pinstripe.

Hmmm... I doubt anyone would bother painting a pin strip - especially to be the same colour as the paintwork. I found it easier to rip mine off!

Yes Ford did this with some EL's for some silly reason i remember them in the showrooms like that....don't like it to be honest with you. Personally i Prefur the Look of the EF XR's with the nice round pretty Quad lights and red stripe...must have the 16 inch wheels though. those EF-EL 16inch XR wheels are wicked shape i reccon of only they were an inch or 2 bigger in that shape would be sweet!

We have some members in the Tickford Club with the moulding painted to match the cars colour. IMO its looks better than the red moulding on some XR colours. If I had an E series car with the red moulding, my mate who owns a panel shop would be getting a job to do.

You can buy a new moulding, have it sprayed then fit to car.
To me, its looks good, but thats just my opinion.

Yeah i must admit for the EF-EL XR's painting the moulds body colour does look nice. After seeing the SVO XR8's with that treatment they look classy.

Another idea of mine is to paint the strips a silver colour i reckon it could look nice.
