Hi peoples,

I'm just changing a regular light with halogen lights in the baby's room, but don't know how to connect the wires.

Perhaps someone could tell me what each wire is for.

I've got a green one (thicker than the other ones), a red one and a black one.

I've already turned the power to the lights off.

Help would be very much appreciated.

If you don't know the difference between Active, Neutral and Earth I seriously suggest you call a Licenced Sparky mate specially seeing as its in a Babys room.

3Toed

Active is either brown or red, Neutral is either blue or black and Earth is green or green/yellow.

Just make sure they match. Some info here:

Baby's room or not, if you don't know what you're doing, get someone who does in to do it.

my only advice is to get someone who knows whatt hey are doing. it doesn't matter who's room it is you may hurt yourself.

Red is your active

Black is neutral

Green is Earth

The Red runs through the switch.
