Backyard Mecha

I first modded a Ford in 1959.. welded a galvanized waterpipe to my 51 ford flathead Exhaust manifold then to gas filler tube for that go-faster sound. That day's equiv to a fart can.

Also modded the grill by getting two more Grille trim pieces to invert-mirror the stock ones, shaved and filled the hood and trunk of course.

Forty years later I did my last project. built an '88 Mustang SVO Convertible' out of my wife's LX. Using real SVO running gear and TC/Xr4 parts.

Boy was she pissed but that's another story.

Anyway, I got tired of the car.. she hardly drove it after all and 'Performance Clinic' had taken a perfectly good short block and ruined it for a fee of $750.

I realized it was time when I no longer could tell one year of the current mustang from another. Or even the '10 from the 09 unless side/side.
Or list all current Ford models.
