Engine Challenge: FMP vs Trick & Mansweto Racing

Hey all, i was just after some feedback and opinions. Im still contemplating/searching for a 351 clevo for my xw.

Ford Muscle Parts advertise a 400hp long motor with a years warranty, running on unleaded, exchange for around $6400.

Just yesterday i emailed Trick and Mansweto Racing and not only did they reply today, they sent me pics of their xw and workshop, cheering hehe. They also quoted me between $6000 and $7000 for a 400hp 351 running on unleaded, dyno tuned and im not totally sure about warranty, though im sure they'd have some. Amazing quick and friendly service.

So has anyone had engine work at either of these places? Any good/bad stories?

I know they're both good workshops so im not too sure who to go with when (hopefully soon) i have the money.

Thanks peoples

They both sound like pretty good deals to me, price and specs wise they seem very similar. Can't say that I've heard of Trick & Mansweto Racing before, but that's not to say they are no good. FMP have been around for years so they must be doing something right. You sound like you are off to a good start with T&M as they replied to your e-mail promptly, hopefully this dilligence carries over to their engine building. It's your money mate, you spend it with whoever makes you feel comfortable. Keep us posted how you go and don't forget to post some pics when you get it finished.

Check the latest issue of Street Machine for an article and recipe for a VERY STRONG n/a Ford engine from Trick & Mansweto.
Not really practical for a street motor , but an indication of what they can do!

I spent just over $8000 on my 351 boss motor for my xw and im aiming for the same figures that these guys are producing for less money. If i had to do it again id use T&M for sure just look at Mansweto's XW and his dyno figures plus read the article in SM and you can tell they're worth every dollar.
