3 weeks back i posted a thread about the Dynomotive/APS Twin Turbo 1 Tonner running et:9.8 last night at Calder it went faster a et:9.57 @145mph with that mph Mark thinks he can go quicker as he hasn’t a launch without wheel spin. Needs more work on springs etc: get it to launch right...that’s the new Australian Record for a LS1...cant wait to see twin turbo’s on the Boss next year..
Even with that time he must have reasonable good traction..
Would have had slicks though?
of coarse he has slicks, but traction is a big problem, needs bigger rubber not to sure how that would go with there rules, might change it to a race car...
Would prolly be pretty hard getting the power down through leaf springs too, or has it got a custom four link in it or something? Why cloose a one tonner over a Ute? I guess it's easier to fit big tyres.....
One tonner possibly has stronger diff?
There are some fast cars out there using leaf spring but NOT on it's own, four link, ladder bars etc...
Traction is an issue I learnt when I went to e/c latley..
Road tyres are hopeless..The harder you try the slower the time..
What maybe good traction for slicks with track compound etc MAY be too smooth for road tyres also ???

It is a race car, its been stated over at LS1.com.au.
This thing is quick, it now knocks a couple of VL's off the top 10. well done to APS/Dynomotive. things will only get better from here
