Hey guys, I was just found these pics on the net of a Ford Granada. I was very confused but may be you guys know more about it!

These 2 are from www.auto-site.ru

That model was released in 1977, a whole 2 years before XD, unless the website is wrong....wtf!

when i came to oz in 1981, i remember seeing a couple of XD's and thinking they were granadas. if you ever get the chance, watch some old 'professionals' episodes. lots of granadas, capris and the odd rs2000.

the previous granny was similar to the xc, not surprisingly. the granny was kept on until the early 90's and was replaced by the scorpio. and if you thought the taurus was ugly, go looking for pics of the scorpio. but i warn you...they are not pretty. keep animals and small kiddies out of the room.

Yeah Ive even seen a couple of Granadas in perth a few times

apparantly the only part it shared with XD was the headlight assembly

Thats probably the type of car I saw when i was in venice - we were on the island of Lido, and I was so amazed to see (what i thought was) a Falcon!!
I took some photos, will post if I cbf tonight.

It looks like the twin sister of the XD. Not identical, but very close.

Project Blackwood wasn't it? It shares a few basic architectural features with XD.
BTW, anyone seen an Opel Omega in the last 10 years?

XD was initially based on that car I believe.......Ford were trying to get their cars to have a global image, much like I guess they are doing now with the 'new edge' kind of styling.

XD was much nicer though. That thing looks like poo.
