Prices are good but its going to vary obviously depending on the car itself. Whites are generally all the ex highway pursuits but in commodores especially you can get undercover/detective cars that are other colours.

I haven't been to a pickles which is the one at Belmore but reports from a few friends on XR8's etc that sold for around $24K and less.

Just rang em. They haven't had any XR8 ex-cop cars, only SS's.

Given that Vic police has only now taken on XR8's, it'll probably be a year or two before we see them at auction houses !!!

Thanks mate for replying, pickles is the one there yes,and from 24K is not too bad.
There is a car dealer at parramatta rd few kms from church st,alot of x police from the auctions and they sell them on average 33K for the XR, He started to get the 220kw.So you can get it 10k cheaper from auction direct.
And you can look for the cars from the net: www.auction-group.com.au

the ex-cop cars can be great cheap bargains..... but make sure you take a torch and have a real good look underneath. Median strips and gutters are no obstacle to an officer in the execution of his duty. I used to work for Ford and I saw the odd one or two that had gone.... walkabout..... and only got fixed what had to be fixed because they only had minimal kays left before being flogged off. As I said though you could get a great buy. Good luck.
