Well...it looks like I might have to change my name to MADNC (NC = No Car).
I'd been visiting a friend at a caravan park, and well....come 3:30 when we leave low and behold there is no car in the car space I left it in.
Needless to say I am mighty pissed off atm, due to the fact of a) some ****er stole my car, and b) its my first car too.
There was only 2 CD's and my stereo in there. the stereo is nothing special, but i doubt i'll see it again or get any money for it knowing insurance companies.
It was locked and windows up, they must have used the old packing tape trick cause i have solex locks on the doors and boot (obviously not enough), and there was no smashed glass.
I am feeling rather weird at the moment and need to vent a little, hence this post being made at 5:30am.
Car theives would have to be one of the lowest form of criminal out there, I feel so invaded, I mean ITS MINE, not yours.
So now I am left with the wait to either get my car back, or get money.
You never think its going to happen to you.
I advise anyone who loves their car (be it a $50,000 machine or a $2,500 run around or you just love it to pieces), if you have been thinking of installing an alarm or imobiliser....DO IT NOW...you just dont know if/when it will happen to you
(\/)ADNC

Mate, this is not good, Its a very sick feeling indeed to know that someone has violated your personal property (as in a break in) but to turn up and find that your vehicle has been stolen.
That just sucks.
Fingers crossed you get it back in one piece at least..
Sorry to hear that mate, that is one of the reasons i got rid of my XR. I couldnt be arsed to worry about parking etc...If the EF gets nicked i would be pissed off but not to worried either
Paul, sorry to hear the news mate, these pricks that commit these crims to innocent people should should be dealt serverly and perhaps personally as i feel the law is not adequete compensation for what they did.
Mate your right about that the price of a car doesn't matter , sentimental value and if you love your car it's priceless and thats not counting hour spending looking after it etc.
I guess i am very lucky this hasn't happened to me yet, and i hope it won't but just like yourself i'd be fuming bad probably on the verge of going crazy if it happened to me.
Best way about it though is try and stay cool (i know it's hard) and gather up clues etc to pehaps find out where the car could be etc. As they say Walls have ears.
All teh best mate, lket us know how it goes.

It also shows how easily anyone can lose their car.
Good luck with that.
I guess you can now update although it's not the circumstances you would have wanted.
All I can do really is sit back and wait to see if it turns up. It was taken somewhere between 10pm and 3:30am, so god knows if there were any witnesses.
Unfortunately it is not an opportunity to upgrade due to financial problems (read: No money), so when the car comes back or the cheque gets posted, it will be another XF for me. NOt that I'll be complaining....I love XF's.
One thing i know for certain is that the stereo will definately not be there if it comes back. oh well...

Sure hope you get it back soon as the waiting is a bitch.
When my new XW V8 got pinched in '70 the guy was caught and did time. Not what i had in mind for the Ba$@#*d.
Maybe they where just drunk, and needed some transport home, and they will find the car in there garage when they wake up, and freak out, and leave it somewhere.
