Following a year of complaints from Australian fans over the quality of their formula1 television coverage, it is currently rumoured that the Nine Network could swap their formula1 rights with another network.
It is thought that discussions between Nine Network, which is one of the country's biggest networks and has terrestrially broadcast formula1 for 16 years, and Ten Network are ongoing.

Nine is believed to be willing to swap the broadcasting rights to formula1 for Ten's rights to show the Melbourne Cup, the country's biggest horse race and one that attracts significant overseas interest.

Neither company has confirmed the reports.

This rumour has been around for some time. I heard this from one of the camera men at the Phillip Island round of the V8s earlier in the year. He mentioned the same deal, Melbourne Cup for GP's.

I hope it is true, would be even better if the Foxtel picks it up and runs qualifying and the race live
