Ford are building a XR-6 falcon for Targa (Daily Telegraph 18/1). Minimal changes to the car as they are pushing the out of the box economical sports/race car angle (170kW).
About time Ford. Well done
Pity though its not a new T-Series

While having my exhaust done at Herrods, I spoke with Ashley who told me about the work they did on Ford's Targa XR6. Wonder if Herrods are looking after this years entry as well.

From what I can recall from the Telegraph. I believe its the same driver that finished 20th something last year that will be driving the factory-backed falcon this year. They did mention that Ford offically backed a car last year.
They said that the car was being developed at the Ford Motorsport HQ?
The mods they are doing are said to be only minimal. Suspension, brakes and engine output up from 165 to 170kW.

Headers/exhaust, ported the heads, unichip - can't remember if they did the cam or not, apparantly Herrods cam grind for the I6 is almost identical to the current Tickford job.
