Saw a heavily taped up version the other day. Front end is same as BA top spec cars. Re-call the NF-NL series where the front of the SWB cars were attached to the LWB cars!?! Well, that what is happening again in the BA series. I could not tell about the butt end, except that the lighting and ornamental treatment has return to the 'jewel' lenses and are more curvacious. Generally, a cross between AU and NL. I noted that the C-pillar was reduced too - not as slabby.

I, for one, are really looking forward to seeing it released. I'm not sure if FPV have anything planned for it either?!?! Anyone heard otherwise?

it would be a good addition, but i dont know, it would have to be based upon how many sales were made of the TL50 as to whether it would be worth it. Maybe it'd just be good for Ford to do their own higher spec version of it

Ford said there will be no LWB FPV cars, this was stated some time ago from memory. But who knows.

FBT195, as a Fairlane owner myself, i am more exited by the LWB cars than either BA or the GT's. My only wish is they return to the short front, loooong tail look like the ZA/ZB and recently NF/NL. That is the true, proper, Fairlane proportions. If you want a car with an arse like an apartment block, buy a GM Statesman.

There was a roumer though the LWB cars would cop AWD, maybee not strait away, but when updated.

One things for sure, expect a very short options list.

Also, I want, no, DEMAND, they seperate the model codes, i dont want a "BA Fairlane", maybe "ZM Fairlane" I dunno.

AlsoII, LTD sould have a wheelbase streach over Fairlane like it used to, make it a true flagship. (I will never consider a GT to be a Flagship, always LTD, it has to be a limo)

Well, I've heard on the old rumour mill that Fored will make a hi po version of the LWB cars, but I wasn't told anything else. I think the Fairlane will have more curvy lights this time, kind of like a chunkier version of the EL's.
