Falcon #1

VFACTS for September, supposedly.

Falcon 7409
Commodore 7359

Slim, but a win is a win, as they say. Don't expect a repeat performance in October, Falcon sedan and ute sales will be effected by the holiday week Ford are currently having.

Re: Falcon #1

This seems contrary to what drive.com.au had yesterday. They said that Commodore had 100 more sales ???

Anyway if it's true, than this is the first moth that Falcon has won since 1998!!!

Top stuff !

Re: Falcon #1

It's taken from ls1.com.au, so it's unconfirmed as yet. Celebrate when we get the complete breakdown.

Either way, we know BA has been a great success, and has created a stunning turnaround for Ford Aus. Hopefully the successful introduction of the Fiesta for the small market, and the unveiling of the all new Territory will lift their fortunes further to challenge Toyota and Holden for leading sales across all segments.

Re: Falcon #1

The figures drive.com.au had yesterday were only interim figures.

Official numbers were released this morning.

A slim win, is still a win and ute sales approx 1900 Falcon to only 1500 Commodore are a great indication that the one tonner is making no inroads at all into Ford's share of the ute market.

Great stuff!!

Re: Falcon #1

No, ute figures are seperate as they are regarded as commercials (as opposed to passenger cars). Ford won that to the tune of around 1900 odd to 1500 odd, but we don't have confirmed numbers yet.

Re: Falcon #1

Fantastic. I always believed even before BA was released that as long as they got the product right, Ford Australia's fortunes could turn around just as quick as when they went down hill.

How did the LWB cars go?
