any chance my ED would have had a build sheet as such?? Im interested to know whether my car had an LSD from new. The spec charts I have say that LSD was an option! Can Ford give me this info from the chassis/SIDO number??

Try myford.com.au. They do give you the records for the car, however it may or may not tell you as the level of detail they tell you on there differs.
Actually, shouldnt it be in your owners manual?
Tried My Ford all it tells me is colour build date trans and engine. Owners manual says "where fitted" when referring to things like LSD
