Ford's BA Falcon XT has been judged Australia's Best Family Car for 2003.

It is the second successive year a Falcon has scored the prestigious award. In 2002, the BA Futura won the Best Family Car title, while the BA XR6 Turbo won the award for Best Sports Car Under $57,000.

the olny reason the falcon does not outsell the bomadore
is that holden have the power to build more cars per month

ford are selling all the falcons thay can build

the problem is the coustomers that have to wait just go strate down the road to holden

Have any hard data on that? Or are you just making an assumption?

I pass a number of Ford dealers daily, and they've had the same new cars on the yard for a good 6 months.

Rodp - it is true, Holden can make a heap more cars than Ford can, the reason you see heaps of cars sitting in the yard for months is because when most private buyers want a new car they want colour/trim/options combo's that aren't available sitting in the yard. So they have to order, then when it takes months and months to get a beatufial BA, some times they head straight to Holden, or Subaru or where ever else and get the car that is second on there list much sooner.

Ford is at 100% capacity, and this is a good thing!

On another issue if Ford is at 100% capacity that means its good for Ford and good for all that work there, plenty of work means no staff cutbacks etc. All in all very exiting times for the blue oval.

Congrats to Ford on another award. It's just a pity that every single category in the November VFACTs was dominated by the Dark Side.

Worse still the gap between Commodore and Falcon grew to 1900 units and the Dark Side Ute finally toppled the Falcon equivalent by a fair margin.

Don't even get me started on Focus/Fairlane/LTD ....
