Which Falcon should i buy???

hey guys, i have recently turned 18, and was driving a little gemini, when i wrapped the front around a pole. I have just got a nice paying job, and i am wondering what u guys would do. I am thinking of EF, EL or AU2. The thing is, if i get the EF or EL i will probably want the XR6. I don't know what to do, put forward what u guys would buy.

cheers

Losing my license wasn't the smartest thing i have ever done, but now i can save my ass off and buy a V8!!

Depends how much you want to spend mate? Around $20K? You won't get much of an AUII for that much, unless it's something stock? Could get a nice AUI though and chuck some wheels on it? AUI Fairmont lowered with 17s would be my choice :)

yeah, i am looking around 20 - 25k at the moment, but i don't want the AU1, i would rather AU2. There is a real nice AU2 for 19k in south melbourne, but i just don't know!

What sort is it? Depends on what you like, if interior/exterior and model status means much to you? Like, you can drive an AUII Futura with good km's for the same money as an ELXR6 with good kms, just depends what you like? I know you said you don't prefer it, but the AUI gives you good leverage in this department.

XR6turbo,

If you are looking for an EF XR6 there was one advertised in the Geelong Advertiser from last week, It was white, manual, and had only done 85,000 kms, they wanted $17,200.

There was also an EL XR6 advertised, which I think had under 100,000 kms for $18,000.

There was an EF XR8 for sale as well which was $20 - $22,000.

Personally I have an EF2 XR6 manual and I can't fault it. I've had it for 13 months and done 16,000kms and have not had to do anything major to it, just change oil, services etc. I had it tested by the RACV to make sure it was ok which was the best thing I could have done.

Ideally it would come down to what you personally like best, however I drove an AU futura and then the EF XR6 and I knew it was definetely the XR over the standard futura.

Hope some of this helps,

Steve

I have a EL XR6 with about 64000kms on the clock and im very happy with it. you will have to look a bit harder to find a low km ef/el xr6 than a AU.
have you driven any? go for a drive and see which you prefer
