G'day guysngals,
I have a charter tommorow and I will be sitting in a country town for 7 hours. Im looking at going down the library today and hiring out a book. Love to hear any recommendations on some good books!
If you like action type books go find any Matthew Reilly books. He is easily my favourite author, and is a master at keeping the story flowing at an unbelievable pace. Brilliant Aussie author.
His books are: Contest - a kind of sci-fi action book, his first one. I think it may be the shortest of the lot too...but it is a good read.
Temple - Brilliant book. Probably my favourite because it has a dual story-line going. About a sacred Idol that has important qualities. Military related story-line as well as an Incan story-line relating to the same Idol. Brilliant pace, great action, really well written.
Ice Station, Area 7, Scarecrow A trilogy because they all have the same main character..a recon lieutenant Shane "Scarecrow" Schofield. Brilliantly written, great twists and plenty of blood and guts.
Have a read, I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

Pick up 2 or 3 stainless steel rat books from Harry Harrison - great reads

"We'll get 'em next year, Mark" - Jeff Grech at the creek, 2003.
Any of the Les Norton books by Robert Barrett, all easy reading about the adventures of a sydney bouncer, he gets plenty of secks, and bashes people, very entertaining.
A really good book that I have just finished reading again is called "Under the Beetle's Cellar" by Mary Willis Walker.
Is a rather interesting book about a cult, and a bus of missing school children... I won't give to much away.
Although I must admit I own nearly every Danielle Steel book, and usually love mushy crap... but "Under the Beetle's Cellar" was something VERY different for me, and I really enjoyed it.

"If you don't know where you are going, any road will do" - Lewis Carrol.
I personally love Dean Koontz novels, he's got some wicked imagination and writes his stories with lots of suspense.
Other than that, Grisham's novels rock too.
Cheers, Paul
