Re: Fell Off the Back of a Truck
Hehe, I work at a Hyundai Dealership (so don't start bagging the product before you have all your facts straight lol), it was sent to us because we are the closest dealership to the accident and to Brisbanes Hyundai Office I'm imagining. We've got to take all the bits out of it that Hyundai want so they can use it for training, I'm guessing the engine and gearbox, ecu etc.
If you look closely at the pics the passenger side door is totally undamaged, not a scratch or dent on it, even the mirror is intact.
I don't know how'd they go about insurance etc, I'm sure the transport company would reimburse Hyundai Australia for the car.
If anyone is wondering what happened to it from what I've heard the transporter either rolled or tipped over, this car then apparantly came lose then rolled a few times then slid down the road on the drivers side for ages, it's ground down through part of the door and there are heat marks on the back where its all crumpled up. The rear axle is totally snapped along with the right front and the engine is just still hanging on in the engine bay.
Also you can see how well the Safety Cell works, the rear might be all crushed up but it hasnt effected the roof and all the doors open and close properly. There were other cars aswell on the transporter, all were repairable
