Thought i'de start a new thread on the subject after thinking about it for months.

The last few months i've been going (along with gadgetman) to the LS1.com dinners and cruise nights which are every thursday. The company and feed is fantantic, well organised and everyone is easy going. Afterwards if it isnt raining we'll go on a cruise somewhere, usually it's in the eastern suburbs so it's down Springvale Rd, Dandenong Rd, Maroondah Hwy and the like. It's all in good fun with each other but everyone is civil and not too hell for leather on the roads. We are usually the only ford fellas there and while the Xr8 ute and the gadgetmobile hold their own against the modded SS's and HSV's, it'd be good to have some more Ford/FPV company.

My question is can a similar thing be organised for FF, either a stand alone dinner at a different restaurant, or combined with the LS1 boys for some fun. They have theirs at Sofias Pizza & Pasta in Wheelers Hill every thursday night at 7.30 and a FF doesnt have to be each week, we all have comittments every now and then.

Have ya say and put down some ideas, i've met most DM people off this forum and we are all bloody good guys/gals so why not speak shit/drink/drive in person more often! And faces to names of those who we havent met...more to life than these darn puter screens!

I'm always up for a cruise, but each week is just to expensive for me. If there was a definate way to know what was going on I'd probably be up for once a fortnight or month. For the next few months it can only be the 6cyl XF coming out to play... the V8 XD is waiting to be finished properly before I unleash it on the streets!

I agree, i used to go to the LS1 dinners every week and while it's fun it does get expensive and the car cops a right royal flogging...hehe

Every month or so i whenever someone organises an evening would be ideal. My missus has just moved down from qld anyway so weekly petrol headed outings are frowned upon!

I'm up for one every 2-4 weeks.

Unfortunately, I can't make it on the 3rd Thursday of each month tho, so as long as it's not on a Thursday, I'm fine.

For me, I think once a month (4 weeks) sounds good.

The harder things to choose will be either go with the LS1 crew or make our own and where the venue would be.

If Minge is up for a night he's sure to silence alot of the boys there with the minginator...although there are a few cars there each week with 350+kw's at the wheels!

I like the concept of once a month and the venue Sofias in Wheelers Hill is excellent the food is good and cheap.

Good stuff John and the Philbster...when a few more register some interest maybe we can organise a night. Maybe some of the blokes from the XR Club will want to attend too...would be great having a night with half ford half Holden guys there!

Even Chucky is invited even though the XR8 is no longer there.... but the forte' will always be great for bringing up the rear..when it arrives!
