A date has been set. After a lot of con*****tion with people a date has been set. It's earlier than previously thought
20 NOVEMBER It's the only Saturday in November they had left. As per last time it will be evening drags. I will start a list under here for confirmed entrants.
This way there can be a Christmas cruise too if needed.
One point, I need volunteers to allow the organisers time to enjoy the event too. Last time we had a few people pitch in but I would like to see a few more. Russ in particular worked his ar$e off and only got 2 runs in.
*** Any car running 12.999 or faster is in the exhibition class. All this means is that you are not eligible for any of the class trophies. You still get to run as many times as you can fit in
The LS1 Guys get an invite again too after a pretty good showing last time.
*** There is also the Team Trophy. FF Vs LS1. We add the times of the fastest 10 of each team. The lowest score wins the trophy
I will confirm I am going, to Geelong on Friday the 19th, Heathcote on 20th, Bendigo on that night for the drinking and I will help any way I can from here in SA. Cobra and I will probably be taking care of accommodation issues, at least in Geelong on the Friday for those who want to join us, but Cobra will be away during October, so I will do what I can. If anyone wants to know about:
- Friday night in Geelong
- Accommodation in Geelong, preferably a campsite or caravan park near the beach (any ideas appreciated too)
- cruising over from SA, times, etc
PM me or Cobra.
The plan at this stage is to:
FRIDAY 19th NOV: Meet at Maccas in the main street of Murray Bridge at say 10am, cruise over from SA together, meet up in Geelong with various Vic and other FF dudes just after tea, park our arses in our caravan park and drink.
SATURDAY 20th: All go off to meet the rest of the FF mob at Ford HQ (I presume), then proceed to Heathcote for the racing. Stay in Bendigo that night and drink.
SUNDAY 21st: Interstate people cruise home at some point. Although if there are other plans for the Sunday, suggest them. Im happy to stay an extra day. I dont know who else is.
I do not know who is organising the Bendigo stay over/accommodation side of things, but if you need a hand with that, let me know.
Regarding those of you who would like to stay over in Geelong on the Friday, even Vic members, could you please PM either Cobra or myself asap to let us know so we can try and make a definite booking and pay the required deposit as we will be short on time and need to get that sorted fairly quickly. I am happy to pay the deposit upfront in full and collect it later, on the weekend, if everyone is happy with that.
Can you all please clearly indicate whether or not you will be staying for the Geelong night and/or the Bendigo night when you stick your names on the list? Thanks heaps.
Also, anyone in SA know a good place to buy a helmet??????
Thanks guys, Im really looking forward to meeting you all!

I'm going to ring tommorow to find out price and availability for accommodation at a caravan park around the surf coast area near Geelong. Depending on the outcome, I may just wait till I get back (one month from now) to book which would leave another month till the actual day. I may have the luxury to do this as mid to late November is not Holiday season so it wont be booked out. I will post up the options of places to stay tommorow night. Then people can put thier name on a list for firday and when I get back I will have the numbers confiremd and can book.
