the RS goes to the paint shop. months of waiting, being screwed about by snapperheads, having my stupid mate (apologies glenn...couldnt have done it without you
) diagnose a problem completely wrong, the dream is finally about to be realised.
originally a factory yellow, some arse-clown decided that the best colour in perths climate would be black. now, it is going back to yellow. months of looking at yellow cars, pretending to be interested in some korean shitbox just to get a colour chart (nice shade of yellow on hyundais...but dont try telling mre the car is powerful when i rock up in an XR), i have finally found the shade. i liked the hyundai yellow, i liked the nissan 200sx yellow, and was going to settle on the monaro devil yellow. then i saw it...the ford escape in sunshine yellow. luverly.
so tomorrow, it is off to the paint shop. have got a number of items to make it unique. the ariel will be roof mounted, there will be no black around the door frames and the mirrors will also be yellow.
i have all the bits for the car, and now it is time to clean up the interior pieces and get them ready for installation. and i cant wait to get started:s2:
will post pics here (well, will get FM to do it as i havent got a clue). the paint shop are going to take pics as they progress, so should be interesting.
finally, another RS will be rescued and let loose on perths roads. the tarmac terrorist is back in business!!!:s2:
