How many of you in NZ have seen one yet?

It was a Narooma Blue (do they still call it that?) XR6.
Couldnt tell if it was turbo or not as it was perched atop a Truck in Paraparaumu. Unfortunatly it was a fleeting glance of the front, But i did get a good perv of the left rear quater.

Damn what a sexy car.

Saw one 4 months ago up here in Auckland - While being transported to do filming in the South Island - also saw a XR6T today and a white XT on Saturday

We now have a Burgandy Futura sitting in the showroom, as of 2 days ago.

Then there was this Ford Forums Raid thing in Australia I went to a while ago... Saw a few there too. Sat in a couple as well. Heck, even got driven around in one!

I think that they have arrived in most dealerships by now, the models I have seen so far are the XT, Futura, Fairmont, Fairmont Ghia however no XR's yet.

One thing that struck me with two Fairmont's I saw was unconsistant fit & finish - There was a good 10mm gap where the dash leads down into the center consol (by the ICC screen) and you could actually see inside the dash.
Another area that wasn't up to scratch was further down the consol beside the passenger seat bolster, there is a diagonal cut that seems all out of alignment.

However that was only in two (pre-registered) cars and all the rest I have seen have been perfect.

Possibly, they had just rolled off the transporter and put in the new stock yard.

I seen a group of about 5 being driven by journo's some weeks ago now, and since then have seen a red XR6 on AKL's southern m-way and an XT parked in Albany (AKL).

XT looks very bland IMHO, although nothing better wheels & lowering wouldnt fix.

XR looks the business !

Also the GT will be at Big Boys Toys in November.
