Well im happy to say thats its taken me 18 long years but the time has come for me to be able to drive by myself..

just got my license this morning and im also finally legal enough to out (not that it hasn't really stopped me before) :s6: :s6:

I remember when I got my P's it was the best feeling in the world. Couldn't wipe the smile off my face for about a week!

Have fun (but take it easy for the first few months at least)

Congratulations XLR8_2001, I can say that the period from now until you get your full licence is where you'll learn heaps about driving be it safety wise and competent driving skills.

Enjoy hitting the roads mate and yeah we all experienced that top feeling but try to remember your not imortal.

Mate I got off my P's two years ago Im 20 and the cops will target you like no tomorrow, they got my brother for doing stupid stuff like drag racing and burnouts. I know everyone thinks they can be the next Craig Lowndes or Victor Bray when they get in the car, but remeber it's not just your life on the line it's everyone in the vicinity of you. I have done some stupid stuff in cars, but I did it in new land devolpments, no cars or houses and Industrial Estates on the weekends. Now I don't even feel the need to do stuff like this anymore cos I see it as just another bill to pay if something breaks or gets damaged plus downtime for my pride and joy.
Mate congrats on getting them, I know your going to hate all the lectures, but trust me do listen 'cos elder driver do know more than you.
P.S Sorry for the lecture and watch out for the bacon boys in blue!

Near all of us have done stupid stuff in cars, dangerous even. Damn, I don't know how I'm still alive after all the crazy sh!t I done. I just can't stomach doing anything remotely the same now, if not for the added responsabilities I have or 'coz I've lost it, it's because there's so much more enforcement of the law.
Like the propaganda says: "don't become a statistic!"
