Finally pulled the BW diff apart...

I know there is a few people interested in seeing what happened on that fateful day at heathcote when I blew my diff without even leaving the line once (hence my avatar pic).

I finally had the time today to pull the diff apart, the reason for my problems is pretty obvious (see below).

As I was taking the pics in the dark this was the only one that came out OK... i'll take some more pics tomorrow and post them up as well.

Bah. A quick arc weld and a Dremel will get that fixed in no time!

Re: Finally pulled the BW diff apart...

Looks very similar to what happened to my poor old LSD in the EA :( I'll try to get some pictures, it's fairly impressive, looks like that but the pinion shaft also broke into three peices.

Re: Finally pulled the BW diff apart...

And the lord has smiled upon me.

Heaven sent is the 4.11 geared 9" LSD (4.11's are a little short but i'll take that up with him later), blessed is the XF disk brake setup and comanding prayer is the DBA slotted rotors and bendix ultimate pads.

Be goneth child of lucifer borg warner, and with one heave I cast you to hell (as was done at the tip earlier).

Yes I am bored out of my brain.
