I was just wondering, how long it will take for someone to build the first AV Street Machine. I often sit here, during the long days at work, and think, if I won lotto, what type of Falcon would I build. I think someone will build one, and it will be at the Summernats.

Well, I would build the following….
AV XR8 in the new purple.
Supercharge it, like the 2003 Mustang.
Full Exhaust
6 Speed Sequential
I would drop it on it’s guts and fit a nice set of billet wheels.
Brembo race brakes.
Leather Interior (Think Arrow)
Graphics on the rear of the car
Full sic bro stereo

This is just for starters.
So, if you had an unlimited budget, what type of AV would you build for the Summernats?

I would do it similar to you Ken but without the graphics. I would have an Arrow type bonnet with some sort of vents (like XB GT if possible), 20" wheels not billets though, some other custom design (something similar to *cough* HSV GTS) , blown 5.4 from new GT40, full leather trim, satnav, DVD and All Wheel Drive.

I would chop the roof, put big chrome bumpers on it, install lowrider style hydraulic suspension, 20x4 inch wheels with moondiscs, tiger print carpet interior, bench seats, skull gearknob, chain steering wheel, 5% tint, fluffy dice, nodding dog on the parcel shelf, exhausts exitting behind the front wheels, 5 exterior gauges, sunvisor and dixie musical airhorns. Oh yeah the colour would be orange.

That's a bit tame. Why not do something a bit more "out there"?

As for what I'd do... well, I'm not too sure. XR6 Twin Turbo and work my up from there.

I reckon we will be seeing and hearing a lot of turbo sixes flying around, up and down, with Blow off valves and modified wastegates - I gaurantee you.

I know its a bit ricey, but im sure we will see and hear some pretty nice ones. I know if I had the money, I would buy the AV XR6 Turbo, and fit in a blow off valve, it would be sick in a Falcon.

Also, I gaurantee you, there will be aftermarket companies with AV Falcon turbo upgrade kits by the years end - put my life on it.

Bye bye WRX, well at least at kickdown, over 100km/h or so, easily. Sounds weird, but some crazy f__k will have something like a modified 280kw turbo six, that'll eat Sti's and EVO's.

We're going to see some sick turbo sixes, you wait and see.
