I was thinking the same thing. If the BA is as good as Ford want us to believe then why not offer a 5 year/100,000km waranty.
Not only does it give the purchaser peace of mind, but it might also swing fence sitting purchasers towards the Ford.
For example, if I'm a buyer who doesn't care about the make and model of a car, just the options/features/price and Ford has a 3 year warranty and Holden has 5 or 6 years then it would lead me to think the Holden product is better since Holden has enough faith in it to offer such a long warranty.
