While I agree it seems pretty nasty to still charge the newly mono-phalanged idiot for feeding the alligator, we really want alligators to maintain their natural fear of humans. When they get to that 10 to 12 foot mark and realize that the thing holding the chicken is just as tasty as the chicken, there's a whole mess of trouble.

Seriously, though, there's areas in the south where many of the mature 'gators have become quite comfortable around people and it's become a real issue. Human kind and nature are clashing and it's messy.

I can't believe that fur-bearing, furniture shredding, puke machine didn't become lunch. We actually had a cat attack a rottweiler... and won!

And I don't think a rott can take a gator.

Friend with a Rottweiler let it out into garden to chase a cat . Screamed down garden to cat who just stood it's ground .Heavy braking from dog before an ignominious retreat .
