A good mate has a motor out of an XD falcon sedan (ex taxi) it hit 500,000 original km a week ago, The only things touch on the motor was 1 new set of headers and gasket,1 whole new exhaust system,1 new distributer and points,2 new sets of leads and 1 carby kit.
The car was owned and driven by his father as a taxi, and was sold to him when it had 310,000km on the clock for $1200.
The motor now sits in a stand with the original dash attached to it to show km, It gets started only on special occations (like a big piss up, eg birthday) and it still does not miss a beat.
I was wondering if anybody knows if it is a record of any kind,
or is that standard for a ford hahahaha..
But in my eyes 500,000km is a dream for most motors (mainly holdens.........joking)

Hate to ruin your dreams but that ain't no record, my current EF has 608, 000Km give or take a thousand. It was an Ex - Taxi as well. My brothers ex - EA had done approxximatly 1, 400, 000 before the tree jumped out in front of him.
The falcon six's go hard!

I can get new Genuine Holden/Ford/Audi/Land Rover/Honda parts cheap, PM me!
I've had the pleasure of hopping into AU falcons with over 1,000,000 kms, and it was running in mint condition. not sure if it was fixed in that time, but still.

The trees are bad for that, 1,400,000 is a hell of a lot of km.
But the 250's just do not die,I own a XF s-pac fully optioned with all spoilers it only has 160,000km on the clock, I had the motor blue-printed,high compression pistons & rings, stage 2 heatseecer cam, triple springs, stanless valves, high vol oil pump, ported polished,etc......and running an extra 12 pound boost on the injection.
So i must admit the falcon six's never die and go harder than a air to ground missile.

Sounds like you got your self a killa XF there. I think that about 1,500,000Km is near the end of the life for an EA with center point that only works on gas. I have some mates and there XF had done about 1,200,000 before his old man got rear ended in it. He was lucky to walk out considering that the boot was in the rear passenger cabin.!
Glad to see people working on the good ol XF's Keep it up.

Inline6s™ are GODLIKE!!! LOL ... I wanted a excuse to pull out my 6 and replace it with a V8.... so I started thrashing it.... depriving it of oil, water, ripping burnouts.. revving it to unhumane levels and do you think it died???!!! It didn't want to leave the engine bay!!!.... my new V8 has been crap compared to the old 6 LOL.. Built Ford Tough™ I guess

I think apart from head bolt and gasket issues the Inline 6 would pretty much go to 500,000km without the cylinder head comming off.
