HI Guys,

Seeing as though we now have a cool site to share stuff i thought i would post some links to articles of what i think are two of the best ford six's around in Vic. I have personally owned an XE ESP 4.9 and XD 4.9 but with the new XR6T, you cant help but admire this cost affective way of building a High HP motor. For so long Turbo VL's have dominated the drag strip, but more and more Ford six's are starting to show up and although they are obviously heavier than the VL, they have an extra litre in the motor to get more power. The first article is an EL falcon which is getting around and to date has posted a best time of 10.25 in full street trim including full leather interior. Imagine this coming up to you at the traffic lights!

The second article is of a test bed for a red ESP (like mine) which is the twin turbo pictures that have been going around. An article of the twin turbo will be posted at www.fullboost.com.au soon. This article is of the XE which he used to test the engine. This is running straight gas. I dont know him, but the guys name is Jason (like mine). This is a guy who knows his fords and has really stepped up the ranks for 6 cylinder turbo's, so to all you VL Commondore heads...eat shit!

I don't know if the ford 6's have overtaken the VL turbo's yet though. The fords are definitely catching up but there are still plenty of VL's out there running 9's regularly.

yeah your right Spinksy 9.6's are the record for a street commondore, but the Ford turbo 6 crossflow engine has only started to really compete in the last few years with adrian and jason cars for example. So with more development as with cars like Jason's twin turbo XE ESP we should see some 9's for the first time. The VL's have done well on the drag strip but it would be good to see some more Ford 6 Turbos there.
