Good to see that Ford have spent the bucks for the Falcon ad to come on during the AFL Grand Final, Just like last year on the debut of the new XR Series!

Could have done with an update of the ad though!

fords marketing sucks, they should really have a look at holden to get sum tips. Its a year now and they still havent got any new adds, not that i ever see their old one anymore.

what so you'd rather see ads with lowdnesy and ambrose looking like dickheads.. ("Skaifey can you do me a great deal on a commodore!?!") yeah i dont think so.. i have to say i really dont think ford should look to copy others (ie. Holden) when in comes to marketing.. its all about individuality - not trying to be someone else..

im not saying copy, im saying they should take a few pointers from holden. Holden always have something new and they tend to make there ads a little more exciting and aggressive and thats how they capture the market. Ford don't do any of this. When is the last time you have seen a ford ad like this and not some year old ad. I think ford marketing department have been on leave for the last year.

Off topic, did anyone else see the Caltex ad with R.Ingall taking that guy for a "hot lap"? what a pissa. He says stuff like "The accelerater is on the right mate, This is a V8 isnit? and at the end, You sure the hand brake isn't on?". Top ad, but I can already see the Holden brigade jumping on this one. Oh, love the shot when the car comes around sideways!

Have to agree with what XLR8 2001 said. Ford's doing OK with the TV ad's and not sounding desperate like Holden's coming accross at the moment. I also like the Ford Courier ad, the "NO BALLS" one.

out of all of the "can you do me a deal on a holden" ads....brock is the only semi normal seeming one...an he still isnt quite there....but skaife's would definitely have to be the worst.....and what about the "Holden Certified used cars" with that guy who must be at least partially retarted......"so i just look straight across the bonnet...and?"

on another note...the only really aggressive Ford ad...in which they "attack" their opponents...is the GT ad....."290KW Lion Tamer" at least there is a bit of aggression there....but yer....the falcon ad with the silver XR6....thats getting a bit old....

and did anyone else notice that Holden have pretty much copied the phantom color with the VY2...its on the new ad....still not as good as phantom though.
