Woohoo Job well done Geoff. Thats bloody excellent, that was the main aim to make a profit.

Re: Ford Australia Reports 2002 Profit

Makes you wonder what the profit could have ben if it hadn't been for some costly "bold" ventures.

Things like the Cougar, kA, Mustang, Mondeo and even F-Series must have contributed their share of bad news to that bottom line.

Ah well - once they've got rid of the last of the Mondeo II (presently known as Focus) then presumably we can look forward to some real shareholder value.

Either that or someone will come up with a bold new plan to import some other Orphan/End-of-life/Euro COTY/Amercian success story (circle all that apply) and we can start the whole sad cycle all over again.

Or (for a history revisit) the BA2 (due next year) will provide such significant benfits over BA1 that a whole new generation (and a few old hands) can get badly burnt again.

Pity I've gambled with real money!

Cheers
Russ

GEEZ i thought they were planning on breaking even this year(financial) and making profit next year looks like they've done a better job than they expected.
