Funny this has come up after the last couple of threads re dealerships!
I had my car booked in today to get steering rack changed, picked my car up at 3.30 and found the following!
1) Car Not washed and dirtier than it was this morning
2) Bent panel on driver door down bottom
3) Starter motor now making friggen noises when starting
4) Idle all out, looks like the boys have been having a fiddle!!
5) Sterios setting screwed up (another fiddle)
6) Finger marks all over dash (not bad for steering rack change)
Piss poor effort, and the service guy was quite happy for me to wait 2 weeks before he would book me in again due to service car availability!!!!
Screw that, went back to Herrods to get some adjustments, no friggen Ford dealer is going to touch my car unless i stand there and watch in future!

BASTARDS!!!!!
1) Be thankful they didn't wash it. The last time a Ford dealer washed my car they put it through the car wash and left it with scratch marks that could be seen even on my silver paint.
2) Make them pay BUT get your own repairer. There's another story there but i still get to emotional to tell it.
3) Make them replace it.
4) Make them pay to get it re tuned.
5) bastards!!! :s3
6) bastards!!! :s3
Bottom line, I never go to Ford dealers anymore. I've never gotten it back without at least one of the problems, that it was booked in for, not been fixed. Not to mention I don't like my car being used as a training ground for apprentices that are unsupervised or supervised by incompetant idiots.

Great timing for this thread! :dead: Just about to pick mine up from work at Klosters in Newy.. giving them a go, a test..
Will let you all know how it went. Was in for 110,000k service + cooling system check. I rang them up (they didn't ring me!) to check on it, cooling system didnt show anything! Bit of a worry, but I'll keep an eye on it and see...
:crazy1:

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
Mate of mine is having his AU II XR8 serviced tomorrow, after they didnt do it, but they had the car for 4 days!!! and thats what it was booked in for!!
He has told them he will be staying with the car while it gets serviced and not one fookin apprentice is touching it.
The way some of the dealers treat your car is pretty crap.
I had a big scratch put in the roof of my SS by one of the magnetic wash signs some of them use. It was able to be polished out luckily but my car never went back.
They rang me a while ago to say that I was due for a service and I told them that I wouldn't be coming back.
bloody hell! when will they get it right?! i've had a pretty ok record with thomson in parra, but i took my car into brad garlic once and never again! the thing is, i take my car to my local mechanic to get it serviced and i take it to ford for warranty-related issues.
this is something Ford Oz will have to look at. customer service is not only an issue in ford but everywhere you go. i went to target today to buy a dvd (they DO sell them cheaper) and if the attendant had any less customer service skills she'd be BLOODY DEAD! i am willing to pay top bucks for a medium quality product but a good service!
gary, i would DEFINITELY pursue this with the dealership manager. i wish i could get into the dealership industry, and get to a managing position. i'd make some major changes in that place if it's not up to scratch! the staff would hate me, but the customers would be happy!

Guys this is probably why Ford changed their Servicing Schedule to every 15,000 km's... It was to keep their Idiot mechanic's away from the cars whilst under warranty... Less chance of having to replace parts busted by service teams....
Ford appear to have a huge problem in this area and need to look into it and quickly...
